Our founder, J.W. (Bill) Ohe created Gateway Refrigeration Ltd., Vector's flagship company, in 1968. Gateway Refrigeration operated as a service contracting company. Bill worked hands-on repairing residential and small commercial refrigeration equipment.
 
Over a ten-year period, Bill moved away from the residential market and was able to develop the commercial business to the point of respectability within the Alberta refrigeration industry.

Bill’s entrepreneurial skill was recognized in 1992 when the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce honored him as Businessman of the Year. Today, Bill is semi-retired and serves as a Director of Vector Industries Inc.
